As the weather warms and we watch the flowers start to blossom, our thoughts turn to freshening up our wardrobes. We want lighter, brighter more fluid options to ease us into the new season. Especially since we will be spending more time outdoors enjoying the weather with our beloved dogs!
At FETCH, every season we cant wait to see what new merchandise will be shown by the top dog designers and how they interpreted some of the most sought after human fashion from the Spring Runways for our four legged friends. We are happy to say that the designers did not disappoint! Following are two Spring Trends that we loved for ourselves and could not resist at FETCH this season.
Embellished Denim – it is NOT always easy to interpret Denim into dog fashion. At times, it can feel dated, slightly heavy and stiff. But these two styles from one of our favorite designers, Dog in the Closet, felt anything but dated and heavy.
The Aubrey Dress is a fantastic combination of denim and sheer embellishment. Both big trends this season. The adjustable bodice is embellished with a custom hand-cut floral applique and the tulle skirt is adorned with delicate hand-cut, stiched floral appliques. It fits comfortably because it is easily adjustable and even has a d-ring on the base of the bodice to easily accommodate a leash. Fresh, easy and pretty!
The Lanna Harness Vest – Is embellished denim at its best! We fell in love with the embroidered denim jackets and jeans for women that we have seen show up in our favorite stores this season. The Lanna Harness Vest is embroidered with flowers and gorgeous leaf patterns. It is available in our retail boutique in two color combinations, Fuschia and Pink. STRIPES – We have been noticing stripes everywhere! Vertical stripes, horizontal stripes, clean modern stripes, seaside stripes. Even stripes mixed with solids and prints.
